ClickFunnels 2.0 review: Launch, Scale, Optimize and Dominate pricing checked September 2026, what the contact and email caps mean, the upsell checkout, and who should pick Systeme.io or HighLevel instead.
ClickFunnels 2.0 sells consolidation. Funnels, a website and blog builder, email automation, online courses, memberships, a community, an ecommerce store, CRM pipelines, appointment booking, surveys, countdown funnels and an affiliate center all sit behind one login. That is twelve-plus tools, and the company now says you no longer need a separate WordPress site next to it.
The question is not whether it can do all of that. It can. The question is whether $97 a month for the bundle beats paying for three or four point tools that each do one job better, and the answer depends almost entirely on how many contacts you plan to email.
This review covers ClickFunnels 2.0, the version on sale today. ClickFunnels Classic is discontinued and has its own pricing page in the support docs; ignore any review that mixes the two.
Checked on the official pricing page on September 23, 2026. Annual prices are the monthly equivalent, billed yearly.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Contacts | Emails/mo | Courses | Team | Workspaces |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Launch | $97 | $81 | 10K | 50K | 3 | 2 | 1 |
| Scale | $197 | $164 | 75K | 300K | 6 | 5 | 5 |
| Optimize | $297 | $248 | 150K | 750K | 10 | 10 | 10 |
| Dominate | n/a | $5,997/yr | 400K | 1.2M | 20 | 20 | 20 |
Here is the part the page makes you work out yourself. Every plan gets unlimited funnels, unlimited landing pages, unlimited visitors, A/B testing, smart checkout, API and webhooks, and analytics. Nothing about the core product is locked behind Scale. You upgrade for caps: contacts, email volume, courses, seats and workspaces.
So the Launch plan is the real product, with two ceilings that matter. Custom domains stop at five (every higher plan is unlimited), and 10,000 contacts goes faster than it sounds when every lead magnet opt-in counts. Cross that line and the bill doubles to $197, not a gentle step. Anyone running a list past 10K is effectively a $164–$197 a month customer.
Annual billing saves $194 a year on Launch, $394 on Scale and $594 on Optimize. Dominate is annual only.
The risk is low to find out. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, and the 30-day money-back guarantee runs after purchase, so there are roughly 44 days to decide before the money is gone for good.
The checkout is the reason ClickFunnels exists, and it is still the strongest piece. Order bumps, one-click upsells and downsells are native to the flow, not bolted on through a plugin. A buyer who takes a $27 ebook can be offered a $97 course on the next screen and accept without re-entering a card.
Smart checkout extends that to returning customers, who repurchase in one click. Countdown funnels add real deadline timers to a launch. On WordPress, getting the same result means WooCommerce plus a one-click-upsell extension plus a timer plugin, three vendors to keep compatible.
Survey workflows are the underrated feature. A short quiz can route a visitor to a different offer depending on the answers, and the replies land on the contact record in the built-in CRM, ready to segment the next email.
The bundle's weakness is that each piece is good enough rather than best. The email tool sends 50,000 messages a month on Launch, which is five sends to a full 10K list. A newsletter that goes out twice a week to that list will hit the cap in under a month. Dedicated email platforms charge by contacts too, but they rarely ration sends this tightly at the entry tier.
Contact-based pricing compounds that. Growth is punished in steps: 10K to 75K costs an extra $100 a month, and 75K to 150K another $100. For a creator whose list grows faster than their revenue, that ladder hurts.
Consolidation also cuts the other way at exit time. Courses, members, funnels, email history and the site itself all live in one account. Leaving means rebuilding each of those somewhere else, not cancelling one subscription out of five. We found no independent audit of export completeness, so assume a migration takes real work and test the export during the trial before committing a year.
Finally, the price floor. There is no free plan and no cheaper tier below $81 a month. Systeme.io covers funnels, email, courses and affiliates with a free plan to start, and for a first product launch that gap is hard to justify.
Buy ClickFunnels if you sell your own info products, coaching or courses, you already have revenue, and your list sits under 10,000 contacts or your margins comfortably absorb $197. The upsell checkout alone can pay for Launch if it lifts average order value by a few dollars on a few dozen sales a month. You also get to delete a WordPress site, a course host and a checkout plugin.
Skip it if you are still validating an idea: start on Systeme.io and move up once something sells. Skip it too if you run an agency serving many clients, where HighLevel is built around sub-accounts and white-labelling. And if email is your business rather than a side channel, a dedicated email platform plus a simple checkout will send more for less.
For the creator it was designed for, ClickFunnels 2.0 is the most complete sales-funnel stack in one bill. Use the 14-day trial to build one real funnel end to end, and watch the contact count closely.
