Vtiger CRM review: One Growth costs $12 a user but caps at 15 users and 100,000 records. Pricing, single-app seats, the free plan's 60-day rule and who should skip it.
Table of Contents
Vtiger's best number is $12. That is the per-user price of One Growth, billed annually, and it buys the whole suite in one seat: sales pipeline, help desk, marketing email, projects and inventory. Most CRMs at that price give you contacts and deals and stop there.
The catch is written in the plan's own limits. Growth allows a maximum of 15 users and 100,000 records. There is no booster pack for seats. User number 16 moves the whole team to One Professional at $30 a seat, so a $180 monthly bill becomes $480 overnight - 2.7 times the cost for one hire.
Vtiger has sold CRM since 2004, from San Francisco and Bangalore, and scores 4.3 out of 5 on both G2 (413 reviews) and Capterra (336). What follows is what you pay past the first screen of the pricing page.
All prices below are per user per month in US dollars, checked on Vtiger's pricing and compare-editions pages in November 2026. Local taxes are added on top, and at least one standard (all-in-one) user is required on every paid plan. Aggregator figures such as TrustRadius's $28 to $58 are stale.
| Plan | All-in-one seat (annual / monthly) | Single-app seat (annual / monthly) | Users / records | Storage | Email credits |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| One Pilot | Free | - | 10 / 3,000 | 3 GB | 1,000 a month |
| One Growth | $12 / $15 | Not offered | 15 / 100,000 | 5 GB or 500 MB per user | 5,000 or 500 per user |
| One Professional | $30 / $42 | $20 / $28 | Unlimited | 15 GB or 1.5 GB per user | 20,000 or 2,000 per user |
| One Enterprise | $42 / $58 | $30 / $42 | Unlimited | 15 GB or 1.5 GB per user | 25,000 or 2,500 per user |
| One AI | $50 / $66 | $38 / $50 | Unlimited | 15 GB or 1.5 GB per user | 25,000 or 2,500 per user |
Vtiger advertises that yearly billing saves "up to 34%". On the listed prices the biggest gap we can compute is 29%, on Professional ($30 against $42). Monthly Growth costs only 20% more, a cheap way to see whether you will outgrow the cap before committing a year.
From Professional up, Vtiger sells a second kind of seat: full access to one app - Sales, Marketing, Help Desk, Projects or Inventory - and view-only access to the rest. For a support-heavy company it is real money: a 20-person team with 5 salespeople on all-in-one seats and 15 agents on Help Desk seats pays $150 plus $300, or $450 a month on Professional, against $600 if everyone had the full suite.
The overlap is odd: a single-app Professional seat ($20) costs more than a full Growth seat ($12). Under the Growth caps, Growth wins every time.
Growth and Professional also share another ceiling: 25 profiles and 25 roles. Enterprise raises both to 250. A company with many regional teams and fine-grained permissions will hit that before it hits the user count.
One Pilot is marketed as "forever free": 10 users, 3,000 records, 3 GB and 1,000 emails a month. It also allows only 2 profiles and 2 roles.
"Forever" also has conditions. Vtiger's terms of service (last updated March 11, 2024) say that if you do not log in for 60 days, the account is deemed inactive and Vtiger reserves the right to terminate it and delete your users and data. Free services can also be ended at any time without notice, and free accounts keep backups for 7 days only.
The 15-day trial needs no credit card, but the same terms let Vtiger delete the trial account and all its data if no paid subscription is created within 12 days of the trial ending. Import real contacts and you have a 27-day window, not an open one.
Paid accounts get more: daily backups for the last 7 days plus Sunday backups for the previous 4 weeks. A failed card payment, though, can mean suspension within 15 days and deletion of the account, users and data within 90 days of the first failed attempt.
One more term to act on: your account is hosted in the data centre nearest the IP address you sign up from. Sign up from the country where the data should live, not through a VPN exit elsewhere.
The reason to pick Vtiger over a sales-only CRM is that a contact's deals, quotes and support cases sit on the same record. A rep sees the urgent open ticket before calling to upsell; Pipedrive leaves that to an integration.
The "My Actions" list pictured earlier flags leads that have gone quiet for 30 days and deals that have sat in a stage too long, and lets a rep snooze each nudge for one to five days. A public booking page with time-zone handling makes a separate Calendly optional.
Help desk cases carry SLA timers for first response and resolution, and the case view shows whether the SLA has been violated. An insights screen tracks backlog and case age over time.
Screenshots here are Vtiger's own captures, some dated 2020, so today's interface may differ.
Vtiger's AI is branded Calculus AI, and the pricing page is muddled about where it lives. The Growth plan card lists predictive AI, generative AI, natural-language querying, a prompt builder, query analytics and an AI chatbot. The plan summary row, however, reserves "Built-in AI", voice-assistant integration and the Generative AI Designer and Predictive AI Designer for One AI at $50 a seat.
We found no published cap on AI usage for any plan, and a Vtiger help-centre FAQ suggests GPT tokens are paid for separately from the seat. Get the token cost in writing before budgeting for One AI - $8 a seat more than Enterprise is the floor, not necessarily the bill.
Vtiger sells "booster packs" that raise one limit without moving plans. Help-centre pages, not the pricing page, list API call packs from $25 a month for one pack up to $1,000 for 40, 10 extra custom fields for $25, a custom module for $15 and three daily scheduled workflows for $15. Price those before choosing Growth if you automate heavily.
Messaging is another line item. SMS and WhatsApp run through third-party gateways - Wati for WhatsApp, Exotel, Plivo and Telnyx for SMS - which you pay separately.
Standard support by email, phone and live chat is included on Growth, Professional and Enterprise, and the pricing page promises 24x7 live chat. We found no published response-time SLA. Premium support exists only for customers with 50 or more users, sold annually at 25% of the subscription fee - on 50 Professional seats that is $4,500 a year on top of $18,000.
Onboarding is free; a done-for-you setup is not. Vtiger's one-week implementation costs $1,995. If it is not finished in five business days, Vtiger refunds 30% of the fee.
Leaving is possible but not one-click. Data export, import and a REST API are listed features, and Vtiger's help centre says export works on every edition, but its Google Sheets "export all" stops at 1,000 records and a full export of everything at once goes through support. Cloud customers also cannot touch the underlying code, so customisations do not travel with you.
The complaints on G2 and Capterra repeat. Reviewers say pages load slowly, that modules feel cluttered once you hold a large number of records, and that reporting needs deeper analytics than the built-in builder gives. Capterra users mention integration limits and say that linking modules together is tricky for beginners. Documentation and support quality come up more than once on G2.
The harshest story is on Trustpilot, where a customer describes being locked out of their account with no warning, notification or explanation. It is one review, but it matches terms that allow exactly that on free services.
Vtiger still publishes an open-source edition for teams that would rather host it themselves (8.4.0 is listed as stable, under a licence derived from MPL 1.1), with paid support through its VAssure service. If self-hosting is the goal, our SuiteCRM and EspoCRM reviews cover more active options.
Buy Vtiger One Growth if you are a team of up to 15 that wants sales and customer support on one record for $12 a seat. Nothing else in our CRM roundup puts a ticketing system with SLA timers, a pipeline and email marketing in one seat at that price. Pay monthly for the first quarter.
Choose Professional with mixed seats if you have a large support team and a small sales team. The $20 Help Desk seat is where Vtiger beats suite pricing from SugarCRM, which starts at $68 a seat.
Skip it if you expect to pass 15 users soon on a tight budget: Less Annoying CRM charges $15 a user with everything included and no user cap, and Zoho CRM is free for three. Skip the free Pilot plan as a long-term home for data, because 60 days without a login is enough for Vtiger to delete it. And skip it if you want to own your stack - SuiteCRM has no licence fee and no seat limit.
