A hands-on look at Publer's pricing, network coverage and the free-plan limits its marketing page skips, plus how it stacks up against Buffer. Checked September 2026.
Publer is a social-media scheduler that started in 2012 as a side project for a travel agency in Tirana, Albania, and still runs bootstrapped from there. It competes on two things: a long list of supported networks and prices that sit below Buffer and Hootsuite. The free tier is the hook, and it looks generous on the pricing page before turning miserly the moment you rely on it.
You can connect three social accounts, but Twitter/X is not one of them: the company excludes it from every free account because, in its own words, "due to the Twitter Enterprise API cost, we can only support Twitter accounts on a paid subscription basis" (help center, updated 30 July 2026).
The limit that actually hurts is quieter. Published posts are deleted from your history after 24 hours. You get up to 10 scheduled posts queued per account and 25 saved drafts, which is workable for a hobby account, but there is no record of what went out yesterday. Pinterest adds its own catch: the connected account needs at least 100 followers or a claimed website before Publer will post to it. None of this shows up in the feature checkmarks; you find it once you are already depending on the tool.

Pricing is per social account, and that is where the real bill forms. The Professional plan starts at $5/month for one account, then adds $4/month for each additional account and $2/month per extra team member (checked in September 2026). It brings back Twitter/X, unlimited scheduling, unlimited drafts and post history, RSS automations and an unbranded Link in Bio page. The trial runs 7 days and wants a card or PayPal up front.
Business starts at $10/month for one account, plus $7 per further account and $3 per member. The jump buys analytics reports, best-time-to-post suggestions, content recycling, recurring posts and a premium Link in Bio with click tracking. Enterprise is custom-quoted with no public price. One quirk in Publer's favor: for every nine paid accounts or members you add, the tenth is free.
Two things are worth knowing before you enter a card. A $1 charge sometimes lands right after you start a trial; Publer's help center calls it a temporary verification hold, not a real charge. And the company publishes a price-protection policy: increases apply to new customers only, so an existing subscription keeps its rate. Annual billing exists and costs less than monthly, but Publer's live pricing page renders the discount client-side and I could not confirm the exact percentage, so treat the monthly figures above as the reliable ones.

Coverage is the strongest part of the pitch. Publer posts to Facebook (Pages, Groups and personal profiles), Instagram business accounts, Twitter/X, LinkedIn profiles and pages, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, YouTube, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, Telegram and WordPress. That last one matters if you syndicate blog posts alongside social updates. For most small teams the list is complete enough that no second tool is needed.

The scheduler is well reviewed. Trustpilot shows 4.8 out of 5 across 1,021 reviews, 90% of them five-star, but the written complaints are specific and worth reading before you commit. API access is locked to the Business tier, which reviewers call steep if publishing is all you need. Team roles are rigid: a lower-permission member cannot delete a duplicate post or change the date of an already-approved one without routing it back through a manager (Capterra), which slows a multi-person workflow. Several reviewers also note that Publer's Facebook Reach figure is hard to reconcile against Facebook's own Views data, so analytics need a second look before you report them.
Against Buffer the entry prices are close: Capterra lists Buffer at $6/month and Publer at $5/month for a single account. The gap widens with scale. Publer's own comparison frames it as $12/month for three accounts against Buffer charging a separate subscription per account, and at agency size it pits Buffer's $120/month for 10 channels against Publer's $21/month Business plan. Read the bundle framing as vendor-favorable — it is Publer's page — but the raw Buffer figure of $120 for 10 channels matches independent listings, so the direction of the saving is real even if the exact multiple is marketing.

Publer is the right call for a solo creator or a small agency that manages several accounts and wants wide network coverage without Buffer's per-account subscription math. The volume bonus and per-seat pricing reward exactly that shape of team. Skip it if you mainly need programmatic publishing on a budget: the API sits behind the Business tier, and a developer-first tool priced for publishing alone will cost less. And do not lean on the free plan for anything you need to keep. The 24-hour history means yesterday's posts are simply gone.
