A hands-on look at SocialBee's pricing, content recycling, seat limits and reported bugs, with prices checked in September 2026 and a clear verdict on who should buy it.
SocialBee hands you its best tier for two weeks and then quietly takes most of it back. The 14-day free trial runs on the Pro plan with no credit card, no contract, and every feature switched on, according to the company's help centre. When it ends the account locks until you choose a paid plan, and the two cheapest paid plans look nothing like what you just used.
That gap is the thing to understand before you sign up. During the trial you get 25 connected accounts, five workspaces and three user seats. The plan most solo users actually buy, Bootstrap at $29 a month, drops you to five accounts, one workspace and a single seat. Nothing in the signup flow tells you this until the fourteenth day arrives.
Getting in is quick. You enter an email at app.socialbee.com, and if you already have a WebPros account you sign in through single sign-on, added in January 2025 after WebPros bought the company. A new email goes to a form asking for your full name and a password, roughly three steps to the dashboard.

Prices below were checked on SocialBee's help centre in September 2026. The page carries its own last-updated stamp of 16 July 2026, so read them as current to last summer rather than to the day. Annual billing takes off two months.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual (per mo) | Accounts | Workspaces | Seats |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bootstrap | $29 | $24.20 | 5 | 1 | 1 |
| Accelerate | $49 | $40.80 | 10 | 1 | 1 |
| Pro | $99 | $82.50 | 25 | 5 | 3 |
| Pro50 | $179 | $149.20 | 50 | 10 | 5 |
| Pro100 | $329 | $274.20 | 100 | 20 | — |
| Pro150 | $449 | $374.20 | 150 | 30 | — |
The seat count is where this bites hardest. Bootstrap and Accelerate both allow exactly one user per workspace, so Pro at $99 a month is the first tier where a colleague can even log in. A two-person team that only needs ten channels is pushed from the $49 plan to the $99 one purely to add a second person.
There is a cheaper route the pricing table hides: add-ons are metered instead of forcing an upgrade. An extra user is $10 a month, an extra workspace $10, and five extra social profiles $15. So a second seat on Accelerate costs $59 a month against Pro's $99, though you stay capped at Accelerate's feature set. Do the arithmetic for your own team before you assume Pro is the answer.
Billing runs through FastSpring, and card statements read "FS SocialBee Labs SRL" rather than SocialBee, which is the legal entity behind the product. Worth knowing when you scan a statement for something to cancel. On cancellation, several Trustpilot reviewers report friction: one called it "impossible to cancel free trial" and another said no renewal reminder arrived before a charge landed. Those complaints predate the current card-free trial, but they point at a billing flow that has annoyed people.
SocialBee's real selling point is content recycling. You sort posts into categories, set a schedule per category, and it republishes evergreen items on a loop instead of you refilling the queue by hand. Buffer, the obvious rival, has no equivalent. SocialBee also bundles bulk CSV import, an AI caption generator, a unified social inbox and RSS-based auto-publishing that Buffer leaves out.

The AI generator lives inside the post editor: open the assistant, pick a prompt template or write your own, and it returns a set of captions you can drop in and then tailor per network. It is genuinely useful for a first draft, less so as a finished voice.

Price against Buffer depends entirely on channel count. Buffer starts at $5 a month for one channel and keeps a free plan SocialBee has never offered. But Buffer charges per channel, so once you connect five or more, SocialBee's $29 bundle of five accounts works out cheaper. Buffer's counter is that free tier and native Instagram Story scheduling. Below five channels Buffer wins on price; at five and up SocialBee usually does.
The recycling feature that sells the product is also its most reported fault. Capterra reviewers describe the auto-poster grabbing content from earlier posts and picking the same one repeatedly, publishing it several times in a single week. One reviewer added that after posts go live, roughly 20% of the links in them stop working. For a tool whose whole pitch is hands-off evergreen posting, a queue that duplicates itself is close to a deal-breaker.
Reliability draws its own complaints. A Trustpilot reviewer reported "frequent hiccups and downtimes" and noted the app has no search function for finding an old post. Another described a brittle queue: when a single scheduled post fails, "the whole queue will stall," taking that time slot down with it. None of this appears on the pricing page, and it is the kind of thing you only learn from people who have run the tool for months.
SocialBee's analytics dashboard reports the usual reach and engagement figures, but getting the numbers out is limited: the only documented export is a PDF report. There is no CSV or raw-data download, so pulling metrics into your own spreadsheet means retyping them. If your monthly reporting lives in a client deck that is fine, and if it lives in a database it is a wall.

Several metrics are also single-network. Average time per view is YouTube-only, Bookings comes from Google Business Profile alone, Page Engagement is LinkedIn-only, and Competitor Analysis compares Facebook pages and nothing else. Treat the dashboard as a per-platform readout rather than one cross-channel view.
Buy SocialBee if you run five or more channels solo, want evergreen recycling and AI-drafted captions, and will pay for Pro or above so your seats and workspaces are real. At that shape it is cheaper than paying Buffer per channel and does more per dollar. Founded in 2016 and now WebPros-owned, it is a mature tool, not a weekend project.
Skip it if you want a permanent free tier, which SocialBee has never had: Buffer's free plan is the better home for a single channel. Skip it too if you are a team of two or more unwilling to spend $99 a month for a second proper seat, and if the recycling duplication bug would land on a client's feed, test it hard during the 14 days before you trust it unattended.
