Blog Wizard, templates and the readiness score

The headline feature is the Blog Wizard. You give it a keyword, it runs a SERP analysis, proposes a title and outline, and generates a full draft against that outline in one flow. It is the closest thing here to "type a keyword, get a post," and for a listicle or a straightforward how-to it gets you to a rough draft in a couple of minutes.

What sets GetGenie apart from a plain chat prompt is the scoring panel that sits beside the draft. As you write, it tracks a content score against the pages already ranking: how many of the recommended NLP keywords you have used, whether your word count and heading count are in range, how many images and internal links you have. It is the same idea as Surfer SEO's content editor, moved inside WordPress and priced far lower.

Two honest caveats from the way it works. First, the score rewards matching the competition, so leaning on it hard produces posts that look like every other post on page one. The word counts are generous and mostly a distraction. The real ceiling on every plan is the SEO credits, because the SERP analyses and topical maps are what make GetGenie more than a text generator, and those run out long before the word budget does. There is a 14-day refund window, and every plan covers unlimited sites on a single license.

One thing the pricing grid buries: image generation credits are only granted on yearly billing. Pay month-to-month and Genie Image simply is not part of the deal, checked 12 August 2026.

Where it runs out of room

The WordPress-first design is a double edge. If your content lives on WordPress, the integration is the best thing here. If it lives on Webflow, Ghost, a headless CMS, or a client's Shopify blog, you are pushed onto the web app, and there GetGenie competes head-on with tools that were designed as standalone apps from day one and generally feel more polished for it.

A few other rough spots to weigh:

• Team collaboration is thin. Plans advertise unlimited team members, but there are no real editorial roles, approval steps or shared content calendars. A two-person blog is fine; a five-writer agency workflow is not what this was built for.
• The draft quality is mid-tier. It is competent GPT output, not the strongest long-form writer on the market. For anything over roughly 1,500 words the seams show and the repetition creeps in.

Skip it if your content does not live on WordPress, if you need multi-writer editorial workflows, or if raw long-form writing quality is the thing you care most about.
