Overloop review: $69 Starter and $99 Growth plans, what credits buy, the AI SDR's limits, CRM sync from Growth only, and when Smartlead or Apollo fits better.
Click "Log in" on overloop.com today and you are asked to pick a product: Overloop AI at app.overloop.ai or Overloop Classic at app.overloop.com. That fork is the first thing to understand before paying for it.
The company started in Brussels in 2015 as Prospect.io, a Chrome extension built by Vincenzo Ruggiero, and was acquired by Sortlist, the agency marketplace, in late 2024. Sortlist told customers they would keep "the same product, pricing, and team." The pricing held. The product kept moving. Between 27 and 30 October 2026 the help centre was rewritten around the AI app, and the older guides now carry an "(old interface)" label. The site menu has also picked up "Buying signals" and a "Phone number finder", with no dated launch announcement for either.
So most reviews you will find elsewhere, nearly all of G2's included, describe Classic rather than the app a new signup lands in. What both versions sell is the same bundle: a 450M+ prospect database, email and LinkedIn steps in one sequence, and an inbox for the replies, priced per user with a monthly credit allowance.
Monthly prices below were checked on the pricing page in October 2026. The yearly prices appear only in the help centre (article updated July 6, 2026).
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | Credits / user / month | Email accounts / user | Campaigns | Integrations |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $69/user | $59/user | 250 | 1 | 3 | Slack, Chrome extension, Zapier |
| Growth | $99/user | $79/user | 500 | 3 | 10 | + HubSpot, Pipedrive, REST API |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | 1,000 | Unlimited | Unlimited | + Salesforce |
Those headline prices are identical to the July 2025 pricing page, so this is not a price rise. The squeeze is in the limits.
Starter's one mailbox and three campaigns are the numbers that matter. Cold email at any volume depends on spreading sends across several mailboxes and warmed secondary domains, and Starter gives each seat exactly one. A two-person team on Starter pays $138 a month for two mailboxes and the three-campaign cap. Three mailboxes per seat means Growth, at $99 monthly or $79 billed yearly. And Overloop publishes no daily sending cap or LinkedIn action limit for any plan, so the pricing page cannot tell you how much volume a seat actually carries.
Enterprise is where team features live. Starter and Growth share IPs for secondary domains and offer a single role, Admin, which means everyone on the account can do everything. Enterprise adds a dedicated IP, User and free View-only roles, wire or SEPA payment, a dedicated customer success manager and priority support. The July 2025 page set a 3-seat minimum for Enterprise; the current one does not mention a minimum.
Sourcing a prospect from the database costs 1 credit. Finding a valid email address costs 1 more, whether the prospect came from Overloop or from your own import. Revealing a phone number costs 5. Sending emails, running LinkedIn steps and importing a list cost nothing, and a hard bounce refunds its credit automatically.
Run that against Starter and 250 credits is roughly 125 new prospects a month with an email each, or 50 phone numbers. That is enough to feed three small campaigns, not a sales floor. Teams that bring their own lists burn credits far more slowly, since only the email lookup is charged.
Credits do not roll over. On a monthly plan they reset each billing cycle and the remainder is lost; on a yearly plan you receive the whole year's allowance at once and it expires after 12 months. When credits run out, the help centre (updated October 8, 2026) says "Prospect sourcing, email finding and phone number finding all stop." The July 2025 pricing page went further and said running campaigns would be paused automatically. That sentence is gone now.
Every AI feature is on every plan, Starter included: AI list building, AI-written emails and LinkedIn messages, AI campaigns and follow-ups. That is the strongest part of the case for paying $69. You give the campaign a pitch and a writing style, it writes the sequence, and you preview the messages before anything sends. In the inbox, "Ask AI to draft a reply" does what it says - drafts.
Overloop markets this as an "AI SDR", but its own page says reply handling is "not presented as an autonomous reply or qualification agent," and campaigns are written "in your voice, with review before launch." For cold outreach that is the sensible design, because one bad automated reply can cost a domain its reputation. It is still a copywriting assistant with a sequencer attached, not a rep that works while you sleep.
User reviews are thin for the new app. Trustpilot has two, for a TrustScore of 3.3. A US reviewer in May 2026 found it "difficult to get the AI to regularly use all of our coaching" and said it "frequently struggled to find its own emails"; a UK reviewer in July 2026 summed it up as "Easy to use but doesn't work." G2 shows about 4.4 out of 5 from roughly 133 reviews, but an analysis by LinkedHelper, a competitor, dates the 130 it counted from October 2016 to December 2024. Those reviews describe Classic. The recurring complaint in them is data quality, raised in 28 of the 130, plus mailboxes that disconnect without warning.
Starter connects to Slack, the Chrome extension and Zapier, and that is all. HubSpot and Pipedrive sync and the REST API start at Growth, and Salesforce is Enterprise only. Even on Growth there is a hole: the help centre states that "Prospect replies cannot be synced from Overloop into HubSpot," so a rep working from HubSpot never sees the conversation that warmed the lead up. API v2 and the Overloop CLI, published on GitHub under Sortlist's account, are both labelled beta.
Getting out is partial. You can export selected prospects to CSV, delivered as an emailed link, and an admin can switch that export off (it is on by default). No export of campaigns or sequences is documented, so the copy and step logic you built stay behind. The service runs on Heroku on top of AWS with no region named, and every plan includes a DPA and CASA Tier 2 certification. On retention the two policies disagree: the security page says data is removed 60 days after the subscription ends, the privacy policy says "almost everything within 90 days" of deletion.
There is no free plan, and the trial terms contradict each other. The pricing FAQ promises a 7-day trial with "No credit card required." The billing help article, updated September 10, 2026, says that at the end of the 7 days "your subscription will automatically start unless you cancel before the trial ends," and points to a Cancel Trial button. Assume the trial converts and set a reminder for day six.
The 30-day money-back guarantee is the real loss. The July 2025 pricing page said "Startup & Growth plans include a 30-day money-back guarantee"; it has been removed since. What is left is the terms of service, last updated April 2023, under Belgian law: refund requests "may be considered by Overloop SRL on a case-by-case basis and granted at the sole discretion of Overloop SRL." Cancelling keeps the account live to the end of the period you paid for. Upgrades are pro-rated, downgrades wait for the period to end.
One fair touch: a $14.99 a month pause keeps your prospects and campaigns without paying for seats, which suits seasonal outbound.
Buy it if you are a small team that wants the database, email and LinkedIn steps and the reply inbox in one tool, and you will read every AI draft before it sends. Growth billed yearly, at $79 a seat, is the plan that makes sense: three mailboxes, ten campaigns, HubSpot or Pipedrive sync and the API.
Skip it if cold email volume is the job. One mailbox per Starter seat and no published sending limits make it a poor fit next to Smartlead or Instantly, which are built around many inboxes on flat plans. If LinkedIn plus email personalisation is what you are after, lemlist is the closest like-for-like to compare against. If you mostly need contact data, Apollo is the database-first choice. Salesforce shops that are not buying Enterprise should look elsewhere, since sync is locked to that tier.
Overloop at $69 is a capable bundle with a short leash, sold in the middle of a product rebuild and without the refund window that used to cover a bad month. Take the trial, try the AI app rather than Classic, and decide before day seven.
