Raven Tools review: plan prices from $39 to $399 a month, unlimited white-label reports, a Site Auditor in maintenance mode, backlink caps and the annual contract terms.
Raven Tools' own help centre answers the biggest question about it in two sentences. On the "What is Site Auditor?" page, last updated in March 2026: "Site Auditor Classic is no longer being maintained. Site Auditor Studio is being maintained, but no no [sic] functionality is being developed." That is the crawler, one of the headline tools on the pricing page, described by its maker as finished.
TapClicks bought Raven in 2017 without publishing the terms, and it now sits in a family of brands next to AdStage, iSpionage and Megalytic. There is no sunset notice, and the product is still on sale at $39 to $399 a month. But what you buy in October 2026 is a white-label reporting tool with a set of SEO modules attached, and those modules are not going to get better. This review judges it on those terms.
The auditor still does its job within hard limits. It crawls up to 10,000 pages per website, drawn from a monthly pool of 400,000 pages on Start rising to seven million on Lead. Studio sorts problems into Critical, Warning and Needs Attention; Classic spreads them over seven groups, from Visibility to Page Load Speed. For a 300-page brochure site that is plenty. For an ecommerce client with 40,000 product URLs, the per-site ceiling means you audit a quarter of the shop, whichever plan you pay for.
Prices below were checked on the Raven pricing page on October 19, 2026. The annual column is the monthly rate when you prepay the whole year.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual (per month) | Domains | Users | Position checks | Per domain, annual |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small Biz | $49 | $39 ($468/yr) | 2 | 2 | 1,500 | $19.50 |
| Start | $109 | $79 ($948/yr) | 20 | 4 | 15,000 | $3.95 |
| Grow | $199 | $139 ($1,668/yr) | 80 | 8 | 20,000 | $1.74 |
| Thrive | $299 | $249 ($2,988/yr) | 160 | 20 | 25,000 | $1.56 |
| Lead | $479 | $399 ($4,788/yr) | 320 | 40 | 30,000 | $1.25 |
The billing toggle promises "up to 30%" off for paying yearly. Only Grow gets it, dropping from $199 to $139. Start saves 28% and Small Biz 20%, while Thrive and Lead save just 17%. The FAQ on the same page claims Start "effectively costs $99 a month" when you prepay $948, and $948 over twelve months is $79. Trust the table; the FAQ is stale.
The per-domain column is the whole case for Raven. Start covers 20 client domains for $79 a month, under $4 each, and automated client reports are unlimited on every plan. AgencyAnalytics works out at roughly $20 per client. Rank tracking past the allowance costs $0.003 per keyword check, so 10,000 extra checks add $30 to the month. Raven pays for the Moz, Majestic and Authority Labs data underneath, which is real money you would otherwise spend separately.
Every account starts on a seven-day free trial. The FAQ says you enter card details "when you're ready to upgrade", but it never says whether a card is needed to begin the trial. And it has to be a card: "We don't accept PayPal or payments by check."
Reporting is the part of Raven that still earns its fee. A single report can pull rankings, GA4 traffic, Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools data, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Facebook Ads spend, social accounts, email campaigns from Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, Constant Contact, AWeber or Emma, and call data from CallRail. Schedule it once and it goes out every month as a branded PDF or a shareable HTML link. A Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio) connector covers clients who want their own dashboards.
Branding depends on the plan. Small Biz and Start get a custom subdomain, branded sender email and branded reports; full white label, including your own domain, starts at Grow. Read-only client logins are free on every tier, so a client who wants to poke around does not cost a seat.
The weak spot is upkeep, and it shows up in user reviews rather than on the feature list. Reviews on G2 and Capterra repeatedly say that integrations break every few months, that the interface looks dated, and that support can be slow; one reviewer describes a ticket left open for almost a month. A broken Facebook Ads connector the week reports go out means a gap in front of a client, not a cosmetic bug. DashThis is the closer like-for-like if reporting is all you need, though its data-source caps work differently.
The pricing page and the help centre disagree, and the help centre is the one that matches the product. Rank tracking is the first case. The pricing page still lists Google, Yahoo, Bing, Yandex and Baidu, yet a help article says "Yandex is no longer supported in the SERP tracker as of October 29, 2024", because Raven moved to a new SERP data provider. If you report rankings for Russian-language clients, that rules Raven out.
Backlinks are the second. Backlink Explorer runs on Majestic data plus your Google Analytics referral links, and the pricing page sells 20 reports "up to 1 Million URL results" on Small Biz, rising to 100 reports and five million on Lead. The help centre says each report returns at most 50,000 results "due to a technical limitation in Majestic's API", and that reports expire after 90 days. For a site with 400,000 backlinks you see an eighth of the profile. Paying Majestic directly gets you the full index.
Keyword research and competitor domain research are unlimited on every plan, and Link Spy combines Majestic and Moz for prospecting, with 10 to 50 reports a month by tier. Several rows on the plan comparison, including historical data storage and local and mobile rank tracking, show only as icons that do not say which plan includes what. Check those during the trial before you prepay.
Paying monthly is simple: change plans or cancel at any time, with no refund for the part of a month already paid. The annual plan is a different deal. "On annual plans, we do not offer refunds," the pricing FAQ says, and Raven does "not allow downgrades from your current annual plan to a lower plan." The terms of service add that plans auto-renew for another term of the same length, that if you cancel early the remaining fees "may be accelerated to be paid in full within thirty (30) days", and that Raven can change its prices at any time.
You cannot pause an account either. The help centre warns that suspending one temporarily risks "deletion from our automated clean-up", and after a cancellation your data is kept for 30 days before it is all deleted. Export every client's report history before you leave.
Put those terms next to a Site Auditor that will not change and the advice is plain: run Start or Grow on monthly billing for two or three report cycles, and only prepay once the integrations have held up through them.
Buy it if you run a small or mid-sized agency with 10 to 80 client sites, mostly local and small-business SEO, and what clients actually read is a monthly branded report combining rankings, GA4 and ad spend. At $79 to $139 a month on annual billing, nothing in this review covers that many domains with unlimited reports for less.
Skip it if technical SEO is the service you sell. A crawler with no development roadmap and a 10,000-page cap per site loses to Sitebulb for audits, and SE Ranking gives you actively developed auditing, rank tracking and client reports in one product. Skip it too if you want a complete backlink picture; the 50,000-result ceiling makes Majestic or Ahrefs the honest choice. If you need reporting with a modern interface and integrations that stay connected, pay the extra for AgencyAnalytics. For one actively developed suite that does everything, Semrush costs more and keeps shipping.
Raven is cheap, white-labelled report delivery from a product that has stopped moving, much like WooRank. Buy it for the reports, on monthly billing, and do not count on the rest of it improving.
