SEOptimer review: $29-$59/month plans, which one includes the embeddable audit widget, what the new GEO audits check, tight crawl limits and strict refund terms.
For most of the last decade, SEOptimer was the cheap tool an agency bought for one job: a branded SEO audit a prospect could run from the agency's own website, which arrived as a tidy PDF with the agency's logo on it. The analysis was shallow, but that was never the point. Agencies used it to capture leads.
Over August and September 2026 the product changed. The homepage now calls it an "SEO Audit & AI Visibility Tool" and a "Simple, Affordable SEO / GEO Toolset". GEO (generative engine optimization) audits first appear in the pricing table in the August 30 Wayback capture and were missing on July 20. Between August 30 and September 29 the top plan, previously "White Label & Embedding", became "Lead Generation", and every plan picked up an AI Writer quota. Prices did not move: $29, $39 and $59 a month in every capture from January 2025 to September 2026.
That rename matters more than it looks, because it moved the embeddable audit widget. Older reviews say the $39 plan includes it. On the current table it does not.
The owner, Singapore-based SEOptimer Pte. Ltd., bought the tool in 2016 from the developer who built it as a free checker in 2012. It also owns the AI writer GrowthBar, which the homepage now promotes as "Our separate Writing Assistant".
These figures were checked on SEOptimer's pricing page as captured on September 29, 2026. Annual billing takes 25% off every plan.

SEO audits themselves are ticked on every plan with no number next to them. SEOptimer publishes no cap, and it does not call them unlimited either. Reports come in 15 languages.
The add-ons are where the bill grows. GEO packs cost $29, $49 or $79 a month for 50, 100 or 250 AI-visibility audits. The SEO Audit API runs $100 to $500 a month for 500 to 10,000 reports, and a Rank Tracking API costs $50 to $200 a month for 500 to 5,000 keywords. A Local SEO add-on is $29 to $59. Each one carries the same line: "This is an advanced feature not available on trial. It will bill immediately." Enterprise limits are quoted on request.
The $39 White Label plan gives you branded PDF reports, 3 report templates, 10 scheduled reports and a custom domain, so a client opens audits.youragency.com and never sees SEOptimer's name. If your clients already know you and want a monthly report with your logo on it, that is enough.
If you want strangers to find you, you need the widget, and the widget is now only on the $59 plan. You paste a snippet of HTML or install the WordPress plugin, and a "Get a free SEO Audit" form appears on your site. The visitor enters a URL and an email address. Depending on how you set it up, the report opens in a modal, a new tab or a new page, or the form just thanks them and emails the PDF later. Layout, fonts, colors and borders are configurable, and the CSS is exposed if the presets are not enough.
Leads are stored permanently in a dashboard you can search, sort and export, and they can be pushed to HubSpot, Mailchimp or Slack through Zapier or a POST webhook. SEOptimer says more than 2,000 agencies embed it. It publishes no cap on leads.
The $20 also buys 40 more crawls, 150 more tracked keywords, 100 more backlink lookups and 3 more seats. Per crawl, that is $3.90 per crawl on White Label against $1.18 on Lead Generation. For an agency doing more than a handful of client crawls a month, the bigger plan is the cheaper one per unit.
The new GEO audit checks how a site shows up in ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity. In practice it inspects the things a crawler for those systems would meet: robots.txt rules for AI bots, whether an llms.txt file exists, Organization or Person identity schema, whether the content is readable once rendered, and which of your keywords trigger Google AI Overviews and who gets cited in them. Results export to PDF, white-labelled like everything else.
This is a readiness checklist, not a share-of-voice tracker: it tells you whether an AI crawler can read and attribute your pages, not how often a model actually names you, which is what trackers such as Nightwatch sell. For an agency the checklist is the easier sell anyway: a branded report with a grade and a to-do list.
White Label and Lead Generation include 10 GEO audits a month. DIY SEO includes none. Past ten, the cheapest pack is $29 a month for 50.
The audit is fast. SEOptimer claims a PDF in 30 seconds and more than 60 tools. Each report covers on-page SEO, rankings, links, usability, performance, social and technology, grades each one from A+ to F-, and ends with a prioritised fix list such as "Reduce length of title tag (to between 50 and 60 characters)". It reads well to a client who is not technical. That is its strength.
Ask it for depth and the numbers run out quickly. DIY SEO allows 4 crawls a month on a single website, so a site owner who fixes something on Monday and wants to re-check on Tuesday has used half the month. Fifty backlink lookups on the $39 plan is about two per working day across all your clients, and 100 tracked keywords is 25 each for four of them. Nobody will mistake this for Semrush or Ahrefs: their backlink indexes and keyword databases are what you pay for there, and SEOptimer does not try to compete on either.
Leaving is cheap: leads export from the dashboard and you lose only report history. Support is a live chat; no per-plan support tiers or hours are published.
The 14-day trial gives full access, but it needs a credit card, and the Terms are blunt: "After the trial period, if there is no cancellation, the credit card will be charged with the price of the plan selected." One trial per account. Add-ons skip the trial entirely and bill on the spot.
The refund window is 7 days after a payment, and a refund is only granted together with cancelling the account. No credits for partial months, for downgrades, or for months you did not use. Cancelling by email or phone does not count. It has to be the "Cancel Subscription" button at the bottom of the My Account screen. Payment is card only: the pricing FAQ answers "Do you offer PayPal?" with "We don't sorry, only Credit Cards", although the Terms still mention PayPal.
Together these explain a pattern in user reviews: forget the trial date and you pay; miss the 7-day window and the month is gone.
On Trustpilot, SEOptimer held 4.1 out of 5 from 32 reviews when checked in October 2026, a split between 62% five-star and 19% one-star with little in between. The recurring one-star complaint from 2018 to 2021 is being charged after the trial ended. Newer ones target limits and support: a June 2026 reviewer ran one crawl as a test, could not change it and got no answer from chat, and a September 2025 review called out "the restrictions on number of pages" and the support attitude. On the positive side, reviewers keep landing on price, for example "a tonne of features similar to the bigger tools but at a much better pricepoint". Three of the five-star reviews share the same date, December 10, 2025, which is worth weighing.
SEOptimer's About page cites a 4.7 rating on G2 from more than 350 reviews. We could not load G2 to check it.
Buy the Lead Generation plan if you are a freelancer or small agency who wins clients by handing out audits. At $59 a month ($44.25 billed annually) you get the embeddable widget, white-label PDFs on your own domain, 50 crawls, 10 GEO audits and a lead dashboard wired to your CRM. Few tools put a branded lead magnet on your site for that money, and the new GEO report gives you something current to sell.
Buy White Label only if you report to existing clients and do not need the form on your site. The $20 saved disappears the first month you want more than 10 crawls.
Skip it if you need research rather than reports. Backlink analysis and keyword discovery at 25 to 150 lookups a month is a sample, not a dataset: Semrush, Ahrefs or SE Ranking are built for that. A site owner who only wants to audit one site should look at Seobility or WooRank before paying $29 for four crawls a month. Whichever plan you try, put the trial end date in your calendar the day you enter your card.
